1. Monitors and ensures compliance with all the submission of reports with government agencies and local government units of all assigned projects.
2. Liaises with local government units and government agencies on the applicable permits and licenses of the company/ies.
3. Performs presentation and group discussion of company plans and programs to various local and national government agencies for proper endorsement and certification and approval.
4. Performs due diligence of mining permits and contracts, on-site research assessment, evaluation, and feasibility studies prior to mine property rights engagement.
5. Conducts internal monitoring and audit on the implementation of activities and programs of exploration, mining operation, community development plans, and environmental and safety programs to ensure that the approved programs are strictly implemented and, take appropriate steps to improve their effectiveness;
6. Consults with the Legal department as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues.
7. Monitors, and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends.
8. Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
9. Provides significant input in the preparation and filing of mandatory requirements for Application of Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA), Exploration Permit Application (EXPA), DMPF, and other mining applications and other compliances such as ExWP, EWP, CDP, EPEP, FMRDP, SDMP, SHP, FS, etc.
10. Provides input in the formulation of engineering designs, plans, and programs, and their subsequent implementation.
11. Assists in planning and implementing short and long-term goals in all stages of mining operations.
12. Assists in the evaluation of new mining projects and contract mining operating agreements entered into by the company and identify possible business risk and recommend appropriate measures.
13. Prepares a variety of tenements administration including renewal applications, variation requests, notices of entry, and others.
14. Reviews availability of potential exploration/mining areas for possible mining applications and venture agreements.
