AppTradies is a software development consulting firm based in Melbourne, Australia helping enterprises and start-ups develop cost-effective business solutions.

One of our clients is seeking an experienced Shopify Developer (remote) who will be the key person in the end-to-end delivery of business solutions in the team.

About the Role:

• Develop both for (a) custom development, and (b) using existing Shopify templates.
• Translate requirements and mock-ups into fully functioning solutions.
• Modify and update existing sites to implement new features and further improve UI/UX build.
• Implement and debug third-party Shopify apps.
• Set up and configure Shopify accounts.

About You:
• Preferably 3 years of Shopify development experience: both back-end and front-end
• At least 2 years experience in creating a new, customized Shopify app
• At least 2 years experience in building a new customized Shopify theme and customizing an existing theme
• Experience in Liquid, jQuery, Javascript, HTML5, CSS, AJAX, JSON, ReactJS, JavaScript and DOM
• Knowledge of Shopify’s object/properties, AJAX API, metafields, and Shopify’s theming system and Liquid templating
• Knowledge of Shopify best practices, as well as good knowledge of Shopify CMS
• Experience implementing and debugging 3rd party Shopify apps
• Experience with page speed optimization, SEO, and Google Analytics is a huge advantage
• Experience with software development and delivery advantageous
• Retail experience is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
• This is a full-time role and would need to be working during Australia business hours
• As this is full-time remote role, a stable and fast internet connection is required
