Data Scientist

The main scope of this position is the Employee´s support to his colleagues, business partners and customers in a wide range of activities, including but not limited to the following:

? Interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques.
? Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
? Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases.
? Monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
? Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
? Filter and “clean” data.
? Optional: Implementing Machine Learning Techniques.
? Work with the management to prioritize business and information needs.
? Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
? Generating professional data reports including KPI’s to be used by customers and the management at Salmet.
? Work closely together with web developer engineers to implement data analysis into the dashboards.
? Work very closely together with our poultry experts around the world.


» Employee´s Profile:

- Strong knowledge of using Jupyter Notebooks and/or Jupyter Lab.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with tools and packages like: Scipy, Numpy, MatplotLib, Seaborn and Pandas.
- Strong knowledge of Python.
- Strong knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to details and accuracy.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
Excellent communications skills with foreign colleagues worldwide and open for cultural differences.
- Knowledge in foot and inch scales. (non-limiting)
- Experience in the poultry sector. (non-limiting)
