Backend Software Developer - Travel Company

Hi! I'm looking to hire a full-time software developer / engineer to help me with a large scale web application.

The project involves cloning an existing software I use which is no longer going to be functional within the next year.

The application involves a database to host the property details for around 1,000 rental properties (similar to Airbnb or ---------- ).

We will also need to create an API connection between partner sites like ---------- (HomeAway) and as well the front end of our website ----------

Role & Responsibilities:

Manage and direct the overall application lifecycle
Main focus on coding and debugging
Define and communicate technical and design requirements
Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future to edit bugs as we grow the application
Develop functional and sustainable web applications with clean codes

Experience:

Deep knowledge as a Back-end developer (having worked on complicated API's before)
In-depth understanding of web development
Deep knowledge with programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP and Python
Experience with CMS framework
Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Self-directed / self motivated
Good organizational and time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
BA degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field
