JOB OVERVIEW

The remote Construction Claims Manager’s responsibilities include construction claims analysis and review services including the review of proposed construction contract modifications, analysis of contract claims and review of cost impacts and schedule delay to Projects.

OVERNIGHT POSITION - MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

PLEASE SUBMIT A RESUME AND VIDEO OF WHY YOU WOULD BE A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THIS ---------- shall include assisting and managing contemporaneous schedule delay analyses for ongoing and completed contracts on the program. The Construction Claims Manager shall assist staff in determining merit of both excusable and non-excusable delays to the performance of work.

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Provide expert analysis of schedule updates and other contemporaneous and forensic project records to determine the impact to critical and non-critical scopes of work.
• Make determination and provide recommendations for equitable adjustments of time to interim milestones and contract substantial completion due to non-excusable contractor-caused delays versus excusable owner-caused delays and force majeure events, which may have occurred on a partially and/or wholly concurrent basis.
• Assist in the development of graphical representations, reports and other tools on an as-needed basis
that may be required for the determination of potential compensable delay time, recommendations on bonuses and/or for the assessment of liquidated damages.
• Provide direct support during negotiations with contractors for the resolution of time entitlement ---------- cation Requirements:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Law, Business Administration
or related field.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial contract change management, claims analysis and avoidance.
• Knowledge of Critical Path Method Scheduling.
• Ability to read and understand construction contract documents for design-build and design-bid-
build projects.
• Knowledge and experience with procurement of construction contracts, A+B bidding methodology,
claims analysis, forensic merit determinations, contract modifications and change order
negotiations and cost/benefit analysis.
• Strong writing and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong communications and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with complex construction projects in the transportation, military or government sectors is required.
