UI/UX Designer

Job Purpose:
The position is for a lead that will be responsible for designing the screens or pages on Mobile Apps and Websites visually creating the ideal user experience path based on user requirements. UI/UX designers must be familiar and be able to implement the style guides in Sun Life as well as a consistent design across the application. Defining application behavior such as how to display an error message are part of the responsibilities of the UI/UX designer.

Main Accountabilities:
. Be a Lead in the UI/UX Design Team, handle workloads and outputs, and implement their development plans
. Develop wireframes of screens, storyboards, user interaction flows, and sitemaps for Apps and Websites
. Present design deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
. Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
. Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

Technical Skills:
. Bachelor's or Master's degree in interaction design, new media design, human-centric design, or any related design field
. Two or more years of UI/UX design experience for Mobile Apps and Web applications
. Strong conceptualization and visual communication ability
. Exceptional design skills, production value and attention to detail
. Ability to create wireframes, storyboards, interaction flows, process flows, site maps
. Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies
. Strong written and verbal communication skills
. Understanding of common software project management and development practices
. Experience in Agile Scrum Projects
. Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ObjectiveC (iOS), C++ (Android) a plus
