Job Description:
- Conducting research and developing legal arguments
- Drafting legal documents such as complaints, motions, and pleadings
- Preparing arbitraton notices/demands
- Organizing the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
- Monitoring case status and providing timely updates on these changes
Qualifications:
- Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies (bachelor’s degree is preferred)
- Experience working as a VA for US Attorneys or law firms
- Has knowledge on US Federal and State laws
- A minimum experience of 2 years in paralegal role
- Experience in drafting legal documents
- Can work on multiple cases simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills
- Works with accuracy and has keen attention to details
- Strong research skills
- Computer savvy
- Excellent time management skills, can multi-task and able to meet deadlines
- Can work for 20-30 hrs a week (Mon-Fri) on a flexible time between 8AM - 7PM PST)
- Potential salary increase and additional hours based on performance
Technical Requirements:
- Dedicated computer with at least 6GB RAM, Intel3 or Ryzen3 OS, Windows 10
- Wired internet connection of at least 5mbps
- Back-up internet connection
- Noise cancellation headset or quiet workspace and a Webcam for
