Backend Developer

Job Type: Full time, On-site in Makati
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday; 9:00AM - 6:00PM, 1 hour break.

About the Role

- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.
- Write clean code to develop functional web applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications.
- Perform UI tests to optimize performance.
- Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications.
- Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic.
- Gather and address technical and design requirements.
- Provide training and support to internal teams.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features.
- Follow emerging technologies.
- Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify. areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with the front-end developers and other tea ---------- mbers to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
- Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.
- Recording data and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership.
- Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other tea ---------- mbers.

What we’re looking for

- Proven work experience as a Back-end developer with minimum 2 year professional experience
- Understanding of Software Development Life-Cycle
- Experience in Object Oriented Language such as Java, C#, Go or PHP
- Familiarity with Modern JavaScript Framework such as Angular/React.js/Vue.js is a plus
- Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript and CSS)
- Experience in Relational Database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
- Excellent analytical and time management skills
- Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
- BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
- Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
- Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or with a group.
