Blogging Content Editor and Virtual Assistant

Seeking an enthusiastic new tea ---------- mber to work as my sub-editor and virtual assistant on a portfolio of websites. The ideal candidate will have the following essentials qualities:
• High proficiency in written English
• High proficiency using Wordpress Guttenberg
• Must be able to proofread (with the aid of tools such as Grammarly) and pick up grammatical and factual mistakes
• Have a great eye for detail and be good with record keeping
• Excellent communication skills along with a willingness to learn new systems and speak up when help or guidance is needed
• Familiarity with using Canva for basic online designs and Google Docs/Microsoft Word
• Ability to research topics they’re unfamiliar with and make edits/updates to existing content
• An advantage would be having used social media scheduling tools before and proficiency in being able to use social platforms ( ---------- Facebook, Pinterest) and email marketing tools

Ideally, the candidate would have worked with Bloggers before and understand the basics of Search Engine Optimization and driving website traffic. I can do some on-the-job training, but preference in recruiting and accordingly, pay rate will be awarded to those candidates who already have the required base skills. Must have own computer at home and reliable internet.

The role will primarily involve:
• Taking content submitted by my team of part-time writers and uploading it to WordPress, proofreading, fact-checking, formatting and adding graphics and affiliate links ready for final review
• Taking over the management of social channels, including using scheduling tools for Facebook and Twitter and creating Pin designs and scheduling for Pinterest
• Revising old content and assisting with updates to affiliate products, broken links, and making SEO improvements across the portfolio of websites

The ideal candidate will know that attention to detail, and factual accuracy are as important as presentation when it comes to blogging businesses and will take the same pride in serving online users as I do.

The candidate will be working exclusively with the business owner, a solo female blogger based in the UAE, Monday to Friday over email; workload will be variable by week and flexible hours are offered, never exceeding 40 hrs/week.
