Electrical Estimator (With experience with AU client)

We are seeking for a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team. He/She is responsible to to determine the approximate costs of various electrical installations for industrial and residential projects. 

The successful candidate will be an all-rounder self-starter and team player. You should be detail-oriented and have sound knowledge of electrical codes. Ultimately, an exceptional Electrical Estimator should be adept at reading building plans and demonstrate outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.

Analyzing blueprints to determine wire lengths as well as suitable outlet placement based on electrical ---------- termining the amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical ---------- termining the amount of labor required to complete each ---------- termining the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions.
Providing viable solutions to increase project ---------- pleting and submitting competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines.
Regularly updating cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labor costs.
Evaluating labor and material costs to determine whether it is more feasible to construct electrical components or sub-contract the construction of components.
Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
Perform other ad hoc duties
 
Education and Work Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as Electrical Estimator.
Experience with Australian client/s is an advantage.
Exceptional skills using Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam and other computer programs as required. 
Bachelor's degree in construction science, engineering, construction management, or related field is advantageous.
Ability to undertake symbol counts using Bluebeam or similar
Able to read and understand electrical drawings
Ability to read and understand plans and other documentation
A proven track record of working to deadlines & budgets
Ability to take instructions and delivery outcomes
Accurate & on time submission
Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under own ---------- n start immediately
