RADIO OPERATOR

• Must communicate effectively with those around them and those in communication via radio to ensure the safety of the people on the craft and on the port/jetty.
• Efficiently allocate or dispatching marine resources.
• Coordinate passenger/goods transport requests according to vessel routes and transfer vessel capacity.
• Communicate with all port users.
• Perform their job with an emphasis on safety and will issue safety alerts when needed.
• Assist in emergency response. Must react to assess adverse weather conditions, medevac assistance and ensure people, goods and equipment safety.
• Administration and filling of all vessel, goods and people record movements and paperwork.
