Bookkeeper / Accountant (eCommerce)

ABOUT US
Our company makes bedding and home decor products (think comforters, duvet covers, quilts, pillows, ceramic dinnerware, etc.). We are based in Dallas, Texas and design all of our products here in Dallas! We've been in business since 2005 and have been growing every year. We sell to both business customers (like department stores and bedding stores) as well as direct to consumer through several eCommerce channels (primarily Shopify and Amazon Seller Central).

JOB DESCRIPTION: BOOKKEEPER / ACCOUNTANT
We are looking for a Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team! This candidate will be working as part of our accounting team of 3 and will have primary ownership of bookkeeping for our eCommerce stores (including Shopify and Amazon Seller Central), as well as assisting with collections for our parent business and other A/R-related tasks.

Prior experience with bookkeeping for an eCommerce business is required. We are not currently doing detailed bookkeeping and are looking for a tea ---------- mber to help build out our bookkeeping process, in addition to doing the daily bookkeeping work.

We are looking for a long-term tea ---------- mber that can stay and grow within our company!

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Responsible for bookkeeping on our Shopify and Amazon Seller Central platform using Quickbooks/A2X (or alternative platform)
- Initial setup of Quickbooks and A2X, including Chart of Accounts
- Preparation of monthly P&L, B/S and Cash Flow Statement by the 10th of each month
- Use of Quickbooks/A2X for GL accounts, A/R, A/P, journal entries and adjustments, PO and invoice processing, credit card and bank reconciliations, month-end reporting and closing process, monthly sales tax filings, vendor and customer account maintenance.
- Process refunds for customers, respond to customer chargeback requests and manage fraud detections rules
- Reconcile intercompany transactions with our parent entity
- Collaborate with other tea ---------- mbers to develop standards, so entries are accurate and properly entered, assist in resolving account issues, and assist in running reports
- Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues effectively and in a timely manner
- Other tasks as assigned

WHO YOU ARE
- A Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years experience as a bookkeeper, with experience doing bookkeeping for an online eComm business. Knowledge of Quickbooks, Shopify and Amazon Seller Central required
- Excellent English skills. Ability to make calls in English
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills; self-motivated and proactive
- Ability to work with our US team via email, Slack, Zoom and phone
- Positive, kind and easy to work with
- A desire to learn and grow within our organization
- Willingness to learn and adopt new tools
- Reliable and trustworthy. Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with the utmost professionalism
- Experience with SAP preferred but not required
- Stable, trustworthy highly dependable. Ideally someone seeking a long-term relationship where we can both grow from the relationship

HOURS
Full-time role. Fixed schedule during US hours - either graveyard shift or overlapping hours (can be discussed)
