About Us
The company is an ecommerce business which sells Commercial fridges, cooking equipment, coffee machines, etc to many industries in Australia and New Zealand including Restaurants & Cafes.
The business has multiple websites and many sales channels including offline sales team, website and up to 10 marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon etc. We receive around 1200 orders each month plus another 100+ credit notes and other adjustments which need to be reconciled regularly. We use Xero for accounting and have two separate accounts, Australia and New Zealand.
About the Role
We have an upcoming opportunity for a part-time bookkeeper, to help keeping all records up to date and reconciled. The role is also one of part-time financial controller, helping to make sure invoices get paid on time. If you are not comfortable asking for overdue invoices to be paid or reminding sales tea
On a weekly basis, you will be responsible for:
· Reconciling all bank, credit card, and other accounts
- Reconcile Shopify batch payments
· Reconciling all marketplace sales & refunds, keeping all Xero records up to date
· Reporting supplier cost discrepancies weekly
· Reporting delivery charge discrepancies weekly
· Ensuring supplier bills and cn's are kept up to date
· Ensuring tea
· Reconciling marketplace payments, refunds and statements
· Preparing supplier statements for payments
· Following up overdue payments internally with account managers/tea
· Updating order statuses on the order processing portal
· Preparing rebate invoices each month for staff and suppliers
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong attention to detail and and experience in similar fast-paced businesses. This role is not for a beginner, the company is 10 years old with 40,000+ existing customers across all channels. We need someone to join the team who will be able to help the rest of the team sell more, by keeping all the accounts up to date.
