Job Overview:

CounterTopia, LLC (formerly known as Granite America, LLC) is an award-winning, international company, headquartered in Frederick, Maryland. We are the leading importer, fabricator, and installer of stone products and cabinets in the mid-Atlantic region. We are a minority owned business with a culturally diverse team.

The company is currently looking for a Cabinet Specialist (Draftsperson) to design cabinets for multi-unit projects. This position entails preparation of new cabinet shop drawings and modifying existing drawings based upon architectural drawings, notes, and specifications furnished by the general contractor, architect, and designers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, architectural legends, and cabinet drawings.
• Prepare new shop drawings and modify existing drawings based upon architectural drawings, notes, and specifications furnished by the general contractor, architect, and designers.
• Drawing revision control, document filing, and other related project work.
• Ensure effective communication with company clients such as the general contractor, builder, and developers.
• Utilize your preferred drawing program such as AutoCAD, 20/20, Polyboard, SketchUp, or Visio, but not limited to these programs.
• Ensure all documentation is maintained to support shop drawings.
• Help other tea ---------- mbers and departments as needed.
• All other related duties that are not mentioned above

Requirements:

• Fluent in English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent knowledge of cabinets – material, finishes, style, production, assembly, installation.
• Knowledge of countertops.
• Must have experience in cabinets.
• Must be proficient in MS Office and knowledge in AutoCAD or 20/20 or other cabinet design program.
• Must have kitchen/vanity cabinet knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Quick learner who is very detail oriented and consistent.
• Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Preferred experience in general construction industry.
• The ability to interact and communicate with client, sales team, project managers, support staff and your supervisor.
