JOB OVERVIEW

1. Organization & Direction of Complex Work Efforts
o Assists in providing current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
o Analyzes statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices.

2. Application of Skills & Capabilities
o Identifies staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants.
o Allocates human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.
o Analyzes and modifies compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
o Assist in the conduct of new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
o Maintains records and compiles statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
o Assists in the conduct & coordination of the personnel, training, or labor relations activities of an organization.
o Assists in the conduct of exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
o Investigate and report on industrial accidents for insurance carriers.
o Helps to administer and evaluate applicant tests.
o Assists in the administration of outplacement or relocation assistance to terminated employees
o Assist in the administration of compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.
o Assist in the conduct of training needs analysis to design employee development, language training and health and safety programs.
o Performs all administrative and clerical tasks of the Department.

3. Building Integrity & Credibility/ Positive Image Enhancement
o Serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.

4. Performs other management mandated functions.
