Blick Creative is a full circle design and web development agency located in Australia looking for an exceptional Full Stack Developer and WordPress Web Developer to become a part of our close-knit team. Blick has a diverse range of clients, from government to corporate, with a special focus on the not-for-profit sector.

The Position

This position is a little different as tasks will move between two roles and we are hoping we can find someone that could build a CRM from scratch as well as work on custom built WordPress websites and possibly mobile applications.

1) The development of a custom CRM system from scratch. We have most of the framework and functionality requirements to build a CRM system for the creative industry. We are wanting to get this off the ground as it has had many years of thought and for various reasons has lost ---------- ntum. We will need guidance on best practice development ---------- or PHP (Laravel, C# and how we get all of the functionality required to create the online CRM. You will work closely with the Director and you will need more than the technical ability to build the platform, but also the ability to think outside the square, come up with solutions and also document the process.

2) This position will focus on development of custom websites. You will possess strong skills in HTML5, CSS3 and SASS/LESS, with a good working knowledge of Jquery. We currently mainly build custom WordPress websites, so PHP, Advanced Custom Fields and REST API knowledge is ideal. The position will report directly to our Head of Design and Digital, but you will often be required to drive and manage development projects personally. You will also have the opportunity to mentor tea ---------- mbers and work collaboratively with Account Managers.

3) We are also looking for someone that can build Mobile Apps (New area of the business that we want to create into a service offering.) and that also has experience building custom API’s and integrating various software and platforms with WordPress.

What we’re looking for:


Clear English communication skills
A tertiary digital development focused qualification
An impressive portfolio of experience
Ability to code cleanly using HTML5, CSS3, SASS and JavaScript for all size web projects from small to complex
Custom WordPress websites experience using PHP, Advanced Custom Fields, Custom Post Types knowledge
Native mobile app development
CRM development knowledge (Laravel or C# etc. We are open to different forms of development)
Integrating with payment gateways, courier services, accounting packages and external services with CMS systems
Data manipulation from APIs & using web services
Server management knowledge - cPanel and Plesk
Ability to troubleshoot and liaise with external technical suppliers for project needs
Good understanding of Web Accessibility requirements to meet WCAG AA level
Cross browser testing (IE 11+, all major browsers and devices)
Excellent problem solving skills, attention to detail etc.
Driven to continuously self-improve and share knowledge with the team
