Long-Term Career Opportunity: Short-Form Video Creator / Social Media Marketer; Int’l/Canadian Finance Team

We're looking for full-time, dedicated help with our international social media project on TikTok and related social media channels. The main focus is on short-form videos. There are many paths to success. You'll write engaging scripts and edit impactful TikToks, without appearing in the videos or using your voice. You’ll help us market and grow the channel.

We'd love to hear some sample results you've generated and an example of a tip that has worked for you before.

Our overall goal is to help people learn more about finance and building independent income, in ways that can help them and their families.

You will report to our founder, who previously was a founding investor in Napster. He also founded pioneering social networking site Ryze, which was the big influence on Friendster, which in turn influenced Facebook. This is a fast-moving, changing startup environment, so flexibility and openness to change is important.

We're looking for tea ---------- mbers who are very communicative and action-oriented. We look to tailor each role to the strengths of each tea ---------- mber and support their growth and learning. You will likely learn a lot!

We are looking for someone who'd like to be a long-ter ---------- mber of a great team. This is a full-time, dedicated role, for someone who wants to help build a significant channel. We are not looking for an agency or for someone who’s managing social media for multiple clients. You will learn a huge amount as part of this team, both about media and about personal finance.

We're looking for someone to create TikTok / short videos and build an influential social media presence, across TikTok and other social media channels. We are looking for active publishing and improvement over time. Imperfect action beats perfection any day. This is a new brand we're building, so we can experiment with new ideas.

We look to create content that engages a broad audience and introduces them to exciting projects, including ones we produce or support, as well as ideas and learning.

We envision our new tea ---------- mber helping with activities like:
- Turn ideas and mini-scripts into actual TikTok/short-form videos
- Learn from other channels who’ve demonstrated tactics and formats that work
- Leverage trends and tips to create impactful content
- Build content that achieves business goals, e.g. email signups, and other actions
- Create ideas for new videos
- After initial learning, be able to move forward without lots of supervision
- Cross-post content to different media channels (e.g. Instagram, Twitter, blog)
- Help improve our systems and strategies for content creation.
- Help improve engagement of the content we create.
- Work with the founder on ideas for videos.

A passion for catalyzing the creation of engaging video and social media content, and learning about finance and investing will be a plus. If the tea ---------- mber can grow over time to be able coordinate additional contractors for more advanced videos, etc., that'd be great also.

Language requirements:
Should be excellent at reading English and comprehending spoken English, and interested in fine-tuning their knowledge of American English vernacular

Team Culture:
We look to execute rapidly, try to understand what viewers want, learn from usage analytics, and have a passion for creating engaging content. Plus we like to have a little fun once in a while, in an environment that supports tea ---------- mber growth and learning.

New tea ---------- mber should be very comfortable working on Eastern Standard Time work hours. This could go down over time to a a minimum of at least a 3 hours per day overlap with 9am-6pm EST (Eastern Standard Timezone). We pay standard 13th month.
