Webmaster and Backend Manager

10 Hours/Week + Emergency On Call hours

The webmaster and Backend Manager is responsible for ensuring that our websites run smoothly 365 days a year. You'll be an expert with website back-end, web hosting platforms, email hosting, and servers. Your duties include working closely with the Digital Marketing team to ensure website maintenance, migration, and monitoring are completed correctly. This can also involve fixing website errors, creating a response plan for down servers/emails, and running tests to ensure designs or updates function correctly.

The Webmaster and Backend Manager is expected to carry out all necessary back-end backup, maintenance, and migration during a website rebuild project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managing, monitoring, and configuring a variety of website hosting platforms
Managing, monitoring, and configuring a variety of email hosting platforms
Managing, monitoring, and configuring a variety of domain hosting platforms
Managing, monitoring, and configuring a variety of server and site management platforms
Migration and Backup of website templates and files from one hosting to another
Resolving issues arising from website templates and files migration
Migration and Back up of PHP MyAdmin Database files
Advising our Digital Marketing team on the optimal workflow and strategy to ensure seamless website templates and files migration
Being ‘on-call’ in the emergency event a site goes offline

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn web content management systems, applications, and tools used by the organization.
Experience in managing web hosting platforms like, but not limited to, SiteGround UK, iPage, HostGator, ---------- , GoDaddy, BlueHost, Hostinger, JustHost, TSOHost, and Heart Internet UK.
Experience in coding languages like HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, Javascript
Experience in Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress
Good written and spoken English

Decision-making skills
