Video Script Writer

The Video Script Writer job is a freelance or part-time position that takes existing articles that are between 2-4,000 words and writes a captivating video script from the article. You must be able to rewrite the information, do a little research to add a few new pieces of relevant info, and be proficient at English writing. We provide training but cannot train good writing skills so we require a talented author.

About Us
We are a rapidly growing online company that provides information and help for animal owners, gardeners, and those living in the country. We provide useful and well-researched articles about relevant topics our readers are wondering. We create videos on those same topics. You will work with a small team that will include at least one video editor, an article editor, authors (you won't meet with them as often), and a manager. The ability to receive and give feedback is critical.

About the position:
This position is paid by the word. We pay an average of $0.03 a word for a captivating video script that makes the watcher want to keep watching throughout the video. We provide some training on the requirements. The script cannot simply copy the text, but you should be able to pull out relevant information and choose what information to include. We make both short 1-2 minute videos and medium-sized 3-8 minute videos. The script is then matched with stock photos and video for a final project.

Occasionally, you will be asked to write a script for a recorded video by one of our contributors.

Benefits of the position:
We try to combine the traditional author benefits with additional benefits to make this the perfect job for ---------- pending on your skill, we pay $0.025-$0.05 a word for the scripts. We will require you to write 1-2 scripts at $0.02 a word during the hiring process. If you are hired, we will start you at a minimum of $0.025 or $0.04 a word, depending on the number of edits your scripts receive.

We also provide additional benefits such as paid time off and an end-of-year bonus once you've been with us for 6 months.
We offer flexible hours, meaning that you can write any day or time of the day that is best for you. But, we do require that you turn in assignments on time. A part-time position would expect to turn in 1-2 scripts a week. We only require that you attend our weekly meeting at least 3 times a ---------- is held Tues mornings (Filipino time)

Applicant Position Requirements:
- A computer
- Internet connection
- a bachelor's in communications, English, or another writing-related degree
- writing samples are required, if you don't have professional samples, please include a class assignment.
- eagerness to try new things and expound your skills
- willingness to give and receive feedback
- hard worker
- an ability to commit to at least the next 6 months of work, writing at least 1,000-1,400 words each week
- A Paypal or Payoneer account is required.
