DevOps / System Administrator

System Administrator is responsible for the implementation, operation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, network servers on the Azure Virtual Private Network. The Systems Administrator will also be responsible for maintaining data backups, security, and reliability of development, staging, and production environments.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

- Proficiency in Ubuntu system security and patch management.
- Experience in administering systems in a cloud networked environment.
- Analyzing and adjusting Ubuntu servers for performance and efficient operations.
- Focus on configuration management and meeting strict system security guidelines.
- Developing and implementing system monitoring procedures, auto scaling and alerting.
- Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
- Evaluate, test and validate new releases and variations of system configurations
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and Mysql database performance and scalability.
- Ability to both take direction and work in a self-directed environment; to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external contacts; and ability to work as an effective team member is essential.
- Excellent organization and time management skills and flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and shift priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent team skills, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure Private Network.
- Hands-on expertise with debugging experiences in Ubuntu System.
- Experience with Python framework is a plus (specifically Django).
- Experience with automation tools. Backup, archival and storage administration.
- Experience provisioning and managing user accounts and permissions across a variety of software applications and systems.
- Database administration skill in MySQL.
- Shell script programming for systems when necessary.
- Familiarity with SaltStack Systems management.
- Familiarity with Django MVC Architecture.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Experience in setup, configuration and maintenance of load balance software.
- AWS Certified Solutions Practitioner or greater OR Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator
