VA | Techie | Wordpress Rockstar

I am looking for a technical support person who is skilled at managing Wordpress sites and plugins mostly from the front end and able to help me build and setup my wordpress websites. You need to be a very good communicator in English.

For this role, you will need to be able to perform these tasks and may require to show me how you work via video:
- Set up cpanel and hosting and install wordpress
- Set up a website using Elementor and Astra theme
- Add settings, plugins and widgets, including wordfence security, updraft plus backups, All in One SEO and security and updates, and communicate with me during this process to get the required information for successful setup
- Help with design, layout, images and banner placement
- Test sites to confirm they are working
- Troubleshoot websites with bugs, security and technical problems
- Website maintenance including updates, fixing site bugs, improving graphics, adding buttons and pages, some page design if possible and posting content when required
- Site backups and restore if required
- Site security setup and monitoring

Having graphic design skills, or at least the ability to trace designs to vectors in Illustrator, assist with business card design in photoshop etc will be highly regarded.

I may wish to screen share occassionally so I can watch how you do these processes. I am in Australia so you will need to be available at some time between 8am and 5pm Brisbane QLD time if this is required (rarely). However, I have no issue if you prefer to work at night mostly.

At first this will be an ongoing work-as-needed contract which can become regular part-time employment for the right person. The person I previously hired from here worked for me for over a year 20 hours per week after initial phase. He saved up and is now going back to Uni to study his Masters, so I need to find a new awesome techie to work with.

As a small business, I am looking to pay $7-12AUD per hour, though you will have regular work and I am happy to pay an agreed number of hours as a minimum so you have a minimum wage you can rely on, regardless of the work I have available. You obviously get paid any additional hours required. I am looking to build a long term relationship and hours will grow as you help me grow. I would also like to increase your wage as we build the business.
