JavaScript / JQuery / Bootstrap UI/UX Developer

Hey there! To support our rapid growth, we are looking to expand our development team by adding a UI/UX developer with strong Javascript, JQuery, and Bootstrap experience. We do not use React, Vue, Angular, or other similar frameworks in our applications, so familiarity with JQuery is a core requirement for this role.

Note: This role will be interviewed by, and will be working closely with, the founder & CTO of the company. Peer coding exercises will be frequent in the beginning, so any strengths or weaknesses will become immediately apparent. We are looking for a tea ---------- mber that is completely comfortable focusing entirely on client-side development. Full-stack experience is not required, and might never be part of this role.

Required Equipment:
• A good working computer with specs that can run the programs below and a headset for weekly meetings.
• Multiple monitors preferable, so you can effectively troubleshoot

Programming languages & frameworks:
• HTML
• JS
• JQuery
• Bootstrap
• CSS
• HTTP/S (including CORS, cookie management, local storage, troubleshooting headers, etc)

Programs & tools you need to be proficient at:
• VS Code
• NodeJS
• Express
• NPM or Yarn
• Chrome's DevTools
• Postman or similar HTTP client
• Git / Github

Additional systems and SDKs that would be a plus:
• Cordova
• Electron
• XCode
• Android Studio
• Handlebars templates

Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of client-side web development experience
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, to identify the cause of a bug
• Ability to using client-side debugging tools to set breakpoints and step through code
• Strong English speaking skills.
• Strong teamwork and time management skills
• Demonstrates initiative and being proactive
• Ability to think creatively and problem solve when faced with new challenges
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and deliver quality work in an efficient and professional manner
• Must enjoy working remotely with MINIMAL hand holding
• Proficient English communication skills and technical business writing
• Strong attention to detail

Role Duties Include:
• Flexible work hours (8 hours/day Mon to Fri for full-time) where you can work at any time of your choosing
• Stay on track of the delivery process, own responsibilities and be aware of deadlines to ensure project completion
• Communicate promptly with Supervisor every day; and
• Assist and support with ad hoc tasks as required
