Paralegal (Australian Law) (Experience in Corporate. IP or privacy law)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Lawyer to work with our Australian Based client. The successful applicant will have experience working within a dynamic and fast paced legal firm servicing the business community from start-ups to world renowned FMCG brands and big tech businesses.

You will have a strong background in Australian Law with a minimum 2 years’ experience in drafting, reviewing and making recommendations for amendments to various legal documents. Experience in Commercial agreements including contracts, IP, image rights, Endorsements, Sponsorships, Influencer agreements, Ambassador agreements, trademark applications and knowledge of regulatory matters. Your passion for commercial law will also translate in an ability to write entertaining newsworthy articles to be used to engage the business community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the execution of the client’s strategic agenda and business plans considering the broader, commercial, legal, industry and regulatory framework.
• Manage and work in close partnership with a variety of stakeholders and corresponding counterparties, including the joint-venture partners, regulators, government authorities.
• Proactively provide pragmatic and timely legal opinions, conduct legal research.
• Draft, review, advise and negotiate key legal contracts to achieve business objectives, minimise risk and ensure compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations.
• Provide practical legal review, advice and drafting of legal documents with a particular focus on all commercial agreements including but not limited to contracts, manufacturing and supply, Intellectual Property (IP), image rights, Endorsements, Sponsorships, Influencer agreements, Ambassador agreements, service agreements and other commercial agreements, knowledge of regulatory matters.
• Experience with the Australian Trademark application types and process.
• Provide timely and effective legal support in complex technology commercialization transactions.
• Eye for detail when reviewing terms and conditions and make recommendations to protect the clients best interest.
• Stay up to date and relevant using current affairs and newsworthy events to write engaging articles to entertain and connect with the business community via social media platforms.
• Ensure compliance with Company policy and provide proper training and support in the areas of corporate governance, and competition and consumer law matter where Upgrade to see actual infocation and Work Experience:
• Minimum of three (2) years’ experience as Commercial Lawyer.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Record of ethical conduct and ensuring client confidentiality.
• Experience in corporate, IP and/or privacy law is an advantage.
• Must have an eye for detail and ability to write 300-word article
• Start-up law IP from a legal perspective about newsworthy media events
• Can start immediately.
