Full Time
18,000php-45,000php
TBD
Sep 23, 2022
Greetings, our CEO (that is me lol) is looking for an experienced assistant, project manager, general problem solver, and researcher.
My name is Nick Reese, you can google my background but the past 15 years, I've built SEO focused web assets.
Currently my focus is on:
-
-
But I'm looking to build out a small but very talented team to continue growing the portfolio.
To do so, I'm looking for a smart, hard working, and driven individual to become my "right hand person." Starting out this role will mainly be an executive assistant but as time passes it will be more of an operations manager.
## The Work
The day to day job will be one that is constantly changing and will evolve rapidly over the next 12 months.
Currently we are a small team of web designers and full stack developers with a very flat organization structure.
Over the next 12 months the company will:
1. Grow our content creation and outreach team (PH based)
2. Building out from scratch an outreach/link building team (PH based)
3. Build provider facing dashboard to manage the 1000s of provider relationships we currently have.
This is a lot of ground to cover and this role will be at the forefront of making sure this growth happens, goes smoothly, and everything in between.
The first challenge this role will take on is hiring and managing a team of writers who review various solar related companies and products. If you aren't comfortable diving deep into the details of products, then this role isn't for
## Ideal Candidate Archetype
Most people in my shoes like to hire "someone who has done it" for this type of role. I've hired at two prior companies for this role and instead I prefer to take a chance on someone who is ambitious, brilliant, and has great communication skills... and most important is comfortable outside their comfort zone. (I will push and support you to grow.)
### Required Skills:
- Loves creating and implementing systems.
- Amazing written English communication.
- Solves problems with little direction.
- Is a great project manager.
- Great people skills / management skills. (you should have managed at least 2 people in the past and have experience letting people go too.)
- Learns new software and programs quickly.
### Bonus Skills:
- Background in SEO. (managing outreach campaigns, auditing of sites)
- Background in javascript.
- Knows or can learn basic SQL.
## Who This Role ISN'T For
Before applying you should know something about my management style. I am VERY hands off. If you need my help, I'm there to kick down the doors, but before you call me in, I expect you to have tried all of the keys on your key-ring first.
This is to say, I am very much not a micromanager. I hire people who are adults... smarter than myself... have different skills than I do, and most importantly aren't jerks. This type of person doesn't need a micromanager, they need a goal and a bit of direction.
If you don't shine in this type of environment then, this role isn't for you.
### Further this role is not for you if you need:
- Crystal clear direction on all tasks.
- A job doing mindless work that doesn't challenge your creativity and intellect.
- A job where you don't have to learn new skills.
Finally, if you aren't good at excel, this job probably isn't for you. We don't use a ton of excel, but I find that people who only know basic excel and are scared of an =index(match()) or =vlookup() generally aren't great problem solvers for this type of business.
I see my job as to challenge my team to grow, if hired, I promise that I will force you out of your comfort zone and help you grow. If this makes you uncomfortable then this job isn't a fit for us.
