Unintentional Media is seeking an ambitious YouTube manager to help manage multiple YouTube channels with nearly 250k subscribers as well as optimize and operate several clients’ YouTube channels as well.
The successful candidate will be responsible as our clients with channels ranging from 100 subscribers to 100k+. A proven track record of having helped grow both smaller and larger YouTube channels is ideal.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary duties will be optimizing each video’s title, description and thumbnail, analyzing analytics, analyzing YouTube search, researching competition, posting the video and sharing on our other social media accounts.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- YouTube SEO - optimizing our videos’ titles and descriptions for search
- Perform all optimization processes needed to improve new and existing videos of the channel
- Writing detailed descriptions of a video's content, including relevant links and optimized for SEO
- Perform audits of a given YouTube channel, identifying issues and opportunities for growth
- Engaging with our audience on each platform including YouTube
- Some keyword research
- Introduce new processes and tools to improve current SOPs
- Create weekly/monthly reports on channel performance and growth opportunities
WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT
Someone with experience and a strong passion for managing and optimizing YouTube channels. We need someone capable of creating eye-catching titles, search friendly descriptions and someone who really understands the YouTube algorithm. Ideally, the candidate loves analyzing analytics and is obsessed with optimizing and improving in all areas.create reports on channel growth, understands YouTube SEO, keyword research, etc.
If you have experience of any of the following please state in your application/cover letter:
- You have at least 1 year of experience operating/managing a YouTube channel
- Experience creating and implementing YouTube strategy a strong asset
- You have excellent written English
- Prior experience with YouTube SEO
- Experience with keyword research (ahrefs) an asset.
- You are organized, honest, very accountable and always meet deadlines.
- You are ambitious, eager to improve your skills and learn.
- Familiarity with Tube-Buddy or similar software is an advantage
- Some thumbnail design experience with Canva or Adobe Spark an asset but not required
THE POSITION
- Compensation for this position is $7.50 Canadian (Approx $6 USD) per hour depending on experience with bonuses and raises for objectives met.
- 20-30 hours per week to start with the possibility of full time very quickly.
- Flexible schedule but some communication between Pacific Standard hours will be required
