US Property Management company looking for a part time bookkeeper to work with their Accounting system (Quickbooks) le and Property Management Software (Buildium) . Applicants should be able to do bank recs, prepare ongoing P&L's etc. We would also like to hand over A/P and A/R. We foresee the job as approximately 10-20/hours a week. Pay will be based on experience.
Must be familiar with US tax laws. We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently without constant oversight. The qualified applicant will have understanding of Quickbooks experience as a bookkeeper or accountant, good interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic. Real Estate or Property Management experience is a
• Fix Chart of Accounts
• Maintain all aspects of accounting responsibility
• Preparation of monthly financial information in accordance with owner deadlines and requirements
• Analysis of monthly financial statements
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Initiate monthly payments for debt service, owner distributions, etc.
• Calculation of monthly management fees and other fees
• Resolution of problems and issues as needed
• Communicate with property owners & tenants and personnel as necessary
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and maintain effective internal controls
• Work as a team player in evaluating and resolving discrepancies, as needed
• Identify and implement process improvement
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Assist with the preparation of 1099 tax reports for independent contractor and other
