Medical Assistant

We are looking to hire a full time medical assistant who can help with a variety of tasks.

We run a mobile medical clinic with about 20 providers. The providers primarily provide therapy (PT/OT), but we also have nurses and physicians. We meet with patients in their home. Most of our patients are referred to us by home health agencies, so it is important that we recognize and appreciate the referrals that we are given. We also have our own patient census of patients that we refer to home health agencies as well as treating on Part B through our medical clinic.

There are a lot of moving pieces and they get a little bit more complex because we are 100% mobile (no office to meet patients). We need a medical assistant who can work with minimal instruction, can make decisions, and has extremely good communication ---------- dical assistant will be responsible for:
- New patient intake
- Patient scheduling
- Assisting with billing tasks
- Keeping email threads organized and responding with necessary information for our providers and for the referral partners we work with.
- Keeping faxes organized
- Requesting orders from doctors
- Assisting with other projects and tasks needed by ownership.

Hard Requirements (must pass all of these to be considered):
- Minimum of two years working in a healthcare administrative role
- Demonstrated competency in using EHR systems (preference if you have experience using Kareo PM)
- Must work on US time schedule (typical 9am-5pm MST)
- Must have reliable computer with secondary monitor
- Must have reliable internet (we will reimburse a portion of your internet service, so make sure you have fast reliable connection!)
- Must speak and read/write English at a "native" level. Employee will be communicating via email/slack constantly and will also need to have regular phone calls and video calls. Ability to communicate as though English was your first language is very important.

Soft Requirements (nice to have)
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in nursing or healthcare related field
- Experience using Kareo PM software
