Field Application Scientist

The Field Application Scientist provides a wide-range of pre and post-marketing customer support services, builds effective relationships with new and existing clients by delivering consumer oriented product presentations. S/he collaborates with Research & Development on product design improvement initiatives.

Principal Duties:

Sales Achievement and Growth

Contributes to the sales target attainment by increasing product sales through provision of convincing arguments and detailed information to consumer to facilitate sales growth
Provide inputs based on the result of field work to Marketing Department to strengthen the formulation of marketing strategies
Collate and analyze product feedback and needs from the clients and communicate it to R&D team to investigate enhancement in equipment design and product improvement
Client Relationship Management

Build effective client relationship by monitoring consumer feedback on usage and maintenance on products and scientific equipment
Conduct various educational intervention to clients on the product and equipment usage and maintenance
Provide support to customers with laboratory equipment, reagents, or lab-services
Troubleshoot and address technical inquiries, via phone and e-mail, as well as face-to-face with the customer, especially when requiring lab work
Discusses tests samples and specific applications with customers
Functional Initiatives

Prepare and deliver presentations incorporating all technical specifications and reflecting product performances at customer sites and conferences
Generate and submit reportorial requirements such as but not limited to service, technical support, training and calibration
