Hello! We are looking for a WordPress expert to make some updates to our site (and potentially others), then maintain these over time. This will initially be a full-time project, which may then become part-time. We seek to start interviews THIS WEEK!
We are a Florida-based small business with a 20+ year history of selling beautiful, exotic plants to hundreds of stores across the U.S.! Our B2B E-Com business has a WordPress website that needs to be updated to reflect some major changes we've just made in our product lineup and operations. To be clear, we sell to retailers, NOT directly to individual customers. Our ideal hire not only has extensive experience and expertise working with WordPress but is also savvy with business marketing and design. This person will be able to quickly understand what we sell then comfortably modify our website so that it presents what we need it to simply, accurately, and beautifully with extremely easy navigation.
Benefits
- initially, full-time pay until web updates are completed, then residual income from maintenance work potentially FOREVER
- flexible hours during website maintenance phase
Minimum requirements (hard skills):
- You MUST already have strong experience with WordPress
- Additionally, high level of expertise in, at minimum, HTML, CSS, and PHP to make WordPress sing
- A keen eye for design (UI) and experience keeping sites looking fresh
- Strong experience managing WordPress websites, to include theme updates, content updates, backups/security, uptime and health monitoring, and troubleshooting
Minimum requirements (soft skills):
- High integrity and extremely trustworthy to handle our private information with care and prudence
- Extremely high attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly methodical and calm troubleshooter, even if under pressure
- Curious problem-solver and good planner
- Bold and capable of providing advice and feedback on best practices and improvements
- You are not afraid to share with us when something we're doing could be done better based on your experience and common sense
