Technical writer and product evangelist to work with a technology startup

We are a technology company looking for a technical writer for blogs, our knowledge base and other customer facing content. You will need to be technical but; note that the majority of the role will be to create content for other technical users. You must be passionate about explaining technology to other users.

If writing content for knowledge bases, blogs etc doesn't appeal to you then don't apply.

The candidate will need to have a good understanding of these areas in order to understand our platform and create content - CSS, html, Web Analytics, javascript, content management system principles.

We have a SAAS product that helps online marketers in large organisations manage data between their different technologies. Connecting together CRM, email, website and web analytics.

We have 100 customers and about 80 users log in to the platform each week.

There are 3 primary areas we are looking to this resource to help:
We currently have a knowledge base which has the instructions for how to use our product. Customers love using it but it doesn't have enough content. It is also poorly managed.

There is also another area specifically for developers that work on our platform. That also doesnt have enough content on.

Finally - we create a lot of content (white papers, blogs etc). These are currently for marketing and business people. We would like to create content for technical users instead.

This role includes the following:
> learn our platform (we can help with this)
> Create content for the knowledge base - instructions, how-to guides, tutorials, FAQ's.
> Manage the knowledge base, maintaining links and checking out of data content.
> Research content for blogs and whitepapers in key areas that are important to us, these include website personalisation, tag management, web analytics.
> respond to customer questions and requests and create new content for each request.

NOTE:
> we are based in europe so you will need to be prepared to work till 18:30 or 19:00 (PHT) ideally. As the role is part time it will be easier if you can work for us in the afternoon.
