Architectural Draughtsman and Detailer

Purposes of Role:
The three main purposes of this role is:
1/ To complete concept drawings for our clients within 24 hours of receiving the brief and sketches from our salespeople. This includes:
- Site our standard plan range for customers on their property plan.
- Adjust the designs of our standard plans to suit our clients requirements
2/ To provide high quality renders of concept drawings for our customers, sales and marketing teams.
3/ To complete timber framing detail drawings and diagrams and component cutting lists for our manufacturing facility from our detailed working ---------- te: Production of full working drawings are completed by our New Zealand based team. So all drawing files need to be compatible with Vectorworks, which is the main program we are using.

Key Performance Indicators:
1. Plans and detailing accuracy.
2. Concept drawings completed and returned to sales team within 24 hours (for amended standard plans)
3. All designs to be within our standard production and design guidelines (this document will be provided to the successful applicant).
4. Great communication with our team

Applicants will need to hold a relevant qualification in architectural drafting
• Have a thorough understanding of the New Zealand Building Code or a willingness and ability to study and learn this.
• Good understanding of construction techniques, weather-tightness detailing and technical knowledge of building materials.
• Proficiency with CAD and supporting software programs - preferably Vectorworks, ArchiCAD, Photoshop, Rendering software & the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• Technical skills experience & knowledge to produce high quality plans, detailing and materials cutting lists.
• Ability to check & mark-up full working drawings
• Realistic understanding of budgets and building costs in NZ
• A proven track record concept drawings, renders and Framing Detailing.

1/ concept drawings of residential homes
2/ renders of buildings
3/ timber frame detailing and material cutting lists/ Bill of Materials.
