Australian Tax Accountant

We are an Australian accounting firm, located in Sydney, that is seeking a qualified Accountant to complement our current team. Our purpose is to build long-lasting relationships with our clients and staff. We aim to offer proactive accounting services, ?more than mere compliance and taxation. Our practice has a diverse client base of Small Business Entities.


About the role

This role requires:

- Preparation of financial statements and Income Tax Returns, BAS, and FBT for various entity structures
- Preparation of annual and monthly financial reporting
- Liaison with clients and other statutory bodies
- Knowledge of Division 7A & CGT essential
- Payroll and maintaining employee records
- Maintaining fixed asset registers
- Liaising with Client support coordinators to achieve the results sought
- Bookkeeping
- Other ad-hoc duties

Skills and experience
- Australian Experience is a MUST
- 2 years plus experience in an Australian Public Practice preferred
- Experience with client communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Xero skills essential
- Ability to apply knowledge of accounting principles, research and resolve issues independently
- Flexible attitude
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well organised and have the ability to multitask
