Job Title: Virtual/Remote CTO

Reporting Structure: Report directly into the CEO

We are looking for a guru cloud CTO to join Australia’s leading and growing child talent agencies.

A healthy wage is on offer and we are open to full time or part time remote working, with flexible work hours available upon discussion.

Your key objectives in this role include:
Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
Serve as the subject matter expert supporting MAC OSX, Windows, and all common office software and applications, such as Microsoft, Adobe and G-Suite products
Keep track of technology trends and identify what technologies we can use, and how
Validate whether our current technology is performing well and in alignment with our business goals
Guide and lead our tech and software development people
Ensure risk assessment is made around any chosen technology
Help our project teams meet the agreed delivery timelines


Your Skills & Abilities include:
Planning and setting a direction for how technology will be used in our business.
Ensuring we are equip with the appropriate technological resources for both short and long-term purposes.
Project management skills
Able to make timely, executive decisions with respect to our technological objectives and requirements.
Leadership skills to lead, manage, guide and set directions for our project or tech teams.
Taking the time to understand our business in detail, and working closely with our various teams (including our sales team) to understand their needs, identify vulnerabilities, boost efficiency and accuracy to ensure consumer-centric tech decisions are made.
Managing technology budgets and ---------- stall, configure, and support workstation software, hardware, printers, and phones when required
Implement applications and software upgrades, as well as performance troubleshooting
Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed

Ideally you will have:
Degree in computer science or related field.
At least 5 years of work experience in a technological role.
At least 2 years of experience in a managerial/leadership position.
Excellent team and project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with global teams and clients.
Ability to work flexibly and work with remote teams across various cultures.
Experience with or knowledge of operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance-monitoring tools
Advanced computer skills and detail orientation
Ability to keep company information confidential
Ideally familiar with using Active Campaign CRM, Zapier, Wordpress
