Content Researcher and Editor

We're looking for a remote researcher and content editor for a new role at New Territory Media. If you love learning, using new technology, and have sharp attention to detail, this is the role for you!

You will use researching, writing, and editing skills to produce blog posts about video production, video gear, and marketing. You’ll have a huge impact in helping achieve our growth goals by creating content that connects with audiences and ranks on our target keywords.

You'll be responsible for creating blog posts, but you'll be using AI tools to assist with the writing. We've found that the best success in using these tools comes from people who have a strong ability to research, compile information from a variety of sources, and edit sentences for style and clarity.

Don't worry if you've never used AI tools before - we'll train you!

Here's a little bit more about what you'll do:
* Research on different topics relating to video production and marketing topics
* Create engaging content using AI tools (average of 1500-2000 words a day)
* Optimize articles for SEO
* Make intuitive and data-driven decisions to leverage content and achieve client goals
* Stay on trend with new insights for techniques to share and enhance best practices
* Implement editors' feedback on your existing content
* Meet with your editors 1:1 and attend group team meetings

Experience & Capabilities
* Excellent writing skills: creative writing, solid grammar, and impeccable spelling are a must
* Fluent in the English language
* Good understanding of SEO, organic search, and search engine marketing
* Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work with minimal supervision in a collaborative and positive team environment
* A self-starter with the ability to create content quickly
* A continuous learner
* Track record in creating engaging and compelling content
* A collaborative team player who values the success of the whole team, in addition to their own success

Within 1 month you will:
* Complete our onboarding program designed to get you up to speed on our business, vision, and team and gain an understanding of how your role fits into New Territory Media broader organization.
* Conduct 1:1s with your team to learn more about creating compelling content, SEO, and marketing in general
* Master our grammar and language guidelines
* Deliver content ready for publishing in collaboration with your editor

Within 3 months you will:
* Become completely independent when it comes to writing
* Work on exciting projects where you can polish your skills
* Continue to improve and track your progress in content writing and SEO with your editor and Senior Editor
* Deliver near-perfect final drafts
* Progress to a Senior Writer role that will put you on track to further promotion path

Within 6 months you will:
* Progress to a Senior Writer Role
* Mentor, assist, and train new writers
*Create enablement documentation for other writers
