Medical Billing Specialist

Valley Rehab is leading the future in at-home Physical and Occupational Therapy. Our mobile therapists truly are able to offer more one-on-one time with our patients at their residences. We truly believe recovery happens faster at home and with our team of amazing therapists we are able to help our patients regain their independence faster.

This position will work directly with our intake coordinator and CEO and will be a vital part of the team.

Here is a short list of the responsibilities of this role:

Follow up to ensure claims are received and in process at various insurances
Ensure claims are submitted timely according to each insurance’s requirements
Run eligibility checks and review for changes in coverage
Set up new payers in EMR and verify the setup is accurate before sending claims
Creating and sending patient invoices
Calling and collecting payments from patients
Reconcile monthly payment report in our EMR
Answer patient's questions on their statements
Fix any rejected or appealed claims in our clearinghouse
Great at using spreadsheets
