Lead UI/UX Designer

*** ROLE SUMMARY ***

As Lead UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for mentoring the team, helping ensure designs are shipped to an impeccable standard, implementing and overseeing processes, and leading in coordination with the engineering and product teams.

You should be comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced environment, and not shy away from a challenge.

*** What we’re looking for ***
5+ years of experience in designing web apps and/or mobile apps
1+ years of experience in managing designers
Deep understanding and practice of:
User experience and interaction design
Visual hierarchy, composition, colour theory and accessibility
Usability testing throughout design lifecycle
Strong proficiency in tools like Figma
UX certifications preferred

*** What you’ll do ***
Create user journey maps, visual concepts and prototypes for user research and client validation
Create enterprise-level hifi designs and design documentation
Be a candid, respectful, and supportive teammate and leader
Lead improvement of design processes and best practices
Participate in estimations for planned design efforts
Participate in the discovery process to understand the problem, users and their objectives, as well as the client and their business goals
Advocate and design for accessibility
Work closely and collaboratively with client stakeholders and cross-functional tea ---------- mbers
