Buying Manager - Sunbelt Products
Who We Are
Sunbelt Products is a small but successful and growing eCommerce company that has been in business for 10 years. In 2011 we started in a modest 600 square foot warehouse and over the years have progressively grown into a 25,000 square foot operation.
We sell our own branded products (Pink Power, Liquid Stands, Sleepavo) that are manufactured to our specifications and listed on various channels such as Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Reverb, Shopify, and other sites. We fulfill orders in our warehouse and we prepare for and ship products to Amazon and Walmart warehouses for them to fulfill. In addition, we have a 3PL business in which we offer the same services for other eCommerce companies.

About the Position
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Buying leader to work for a US based company with a strong presence that has multiple employees in the Philippines. You, along with your team, will be one of the key players in the success of our supply chain management.
The Buying Manager will be responsible for management of the Buying Department (currently 1 person) and all purchasing related duties, including hands-on coordination with external parties (suppliers and forwarders) and various internal departments (Graphics, Channel Management, Customer Service and Warehouse). Your schedule will be from 1:00PM - 10:00PM Monday through Friday Philippine time. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
What You Will Do:
? Manage supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, terms, exchange rate, etc.
? Evaluate suppliers to ensure their performance is aligned with established specifications
? Collaborate with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization
? Plan and establish Buying team's goals and KPI's
? Develop responsibilities for the Buyer
? Collaborate with other departments to identify requirements and gather feedback on product quality concerns, material availability, market conditions, delivery systems and other variables
? Prepare cost estimates, manage budget and identify opportunities for cost savings
? Analyze, recommend, and implement changes to improve the overall department
? Back up Buyer in their role including coordinating, processing, monitoring, record keeping


Required Qualifications

? Minimum of 2 years solid experience managing a Buying Team for small or mid-sized organization
? Strong background in negotiating with suppliers and forwarders
? Extensive knowledge in inventory forecasting
? Understanding of basic accounting and profit related formulas
? Excellent organization skills and attention to details
? Proficient English communication skills
? Good time management and prioritization skills
? Bachelor’s Degree in related field


Desired Qualifications

? Experience in international logistics (HTS, shipping fees, etc)
? Experience in quality control
? Proven research and data analysis skills
? Good decision-making skills
? Ability to grow with the company
