Cloud based bookkeeper

What you'll be doing:
* full cycle bookkeeping in Canada - payroll, sales tax filing, bank reconciliation, receipts in Dext, journal entries, month end close
* managing recurring tasks in our task management system
* maintain client documentation so that tasks can be switched between bookkeepers
* document processes and suggest improvements

A bit about you
* experience with full cycle bookkeeping, ideally a CPA designation
* experience with QBO and Xero, easily adapt to new technology
* colleagues describe you as a resourceful problem solver who is self sufficient
* proactive self starter - you have a mindset for doing instead of waiting to be told what to do
* organized an an excellent communicator - if a task cannot be completed, you will let us know before a deadline
* direct communicator because we all work remotely, it is crucial to communicate well with us and clients
* effective and efficient - you have the judgement of knowing how much time a task should take and when to ask for help
* you know how to check your own work for quality control
* bonus points if you are fluent in excel
* bonus bonus points if you can build a simple forecast
