WordPress Website and Plugin Development

We are seek a highly skilled WordPress developer to build and launch a new responsive WordPress website for our company. The developer must be well versed in best practices to assure that the code is clean, compliant, and SEO friendly. We would like the new website to look similar (but not necessarily identical) to our current website (http://www.rvstealsanddeals.com). Likewise, the new site must provide visitors with the means to search our inventory in same ways which our current website allows. Likewise, on the admin side we need to be able to enter all the data, photographs, text and videos that will appear in the individual recreational vehicle listings. This functionality is critical and you must spend time on our website to understand how it works. It would also be beneficial if you could look at the websites of our competitors as well. Candidates that we consider for this project will be provided with access to the admin area.

One of biggest issues with our current website is that we get absolutely no organic rankings on Google. You must have a solid working knowledge of search engine optimization so that the new website is developed so that it is Google friendly. If you look under the articles tab, you will see that there are more than 300 articles that have been written using specific keywords that are important to our business. None of these pages rank at all despite the fact that the onpage SEO is optimized. Getting high rankings is critical to our business.

We need two or three plugins developed specifically for this project. Getting all the data, photos, text into the individual listings is our first priority. Whether you do that through coding or through a plugin is up to you. We are not professional developers so we will rely on your expertise. The second plugin will feed our inventory information into the RVTrader website. RVTrader is an aggregator who displays the inventory of many RV dealers throughout North America. RVTrader has provided us with the specifications for the feed and that will be provided to you. The last plugin is needed to feed our inventory into Craigslist. Craiglist listings run for 45 days. However, Craigslist allows users to renew listings every 48 hours. That puts the listing back on top of the RV listings in Craigslist. That process needs to be automated by the plugin. When the listing expires after 45 days, Craiglist allows users to renew the listing. This process must be automated by the plugin.

Our current website provider has indicated that they will be willing to provide all of our data from the current website to help facilitate the migration to the new host. Site migration will be part of your responsibility. We probably want to have hosting through SiteGround or Interserver.

While our initial concern is to have this website developed for our own business, we plan on selling this package to other RV dealers. That means that this has to be developed with a theme that will allow enough customization so that every RV dealer can have a unique looking website. The choice of which theme you decide upon is up to you, but it must meet all our needs. Likewise, when we start selling this package, there will be a need for ongoing support to our customers. We need to know if that is something you would like to be part of. Our preference is that you would.
