JOB OVERVIEW

We are managing Amazon Brand and we sell on the various online channels in Canada and US with the vision to become an international brand. We also diversify our operation from eCommerce to Wholesale. The Inventory Planning & Forecasting Analyst is primarily responsible for the inventory analysis and inventory planning for several of DC’s brands and ensuring a healthy pipeline of inventory to support the brand’s projected demand.

- Create a new product forecast strategy to successfully launch new programs
- Responsible for the product lifecycle forecasting from New Product Introduction (NPI), Sustaining to End Of Life (EOL)
- Own and drive the forecasting metrics, such as forecast accuracy, sales attainment, and return rates
- Identify, and document opportunities to improve forecasting efficiency and manage the implementation

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the demand forecasting for new and mature products
- Identify seasonal and non-seasonal products
- Produce monthly order plan
- Identify discontinued SKUs and ensure appropriate tagging in Orderhive
- Conduct forecast vs actual analysis to identify safety stock levels
- Determine order quantity for new products to launch (with no sales history)
- Develop, analyze and manage daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports to ensure optimum inventory levels at the item and channel level based on the most accurate demand data
- Build, analyze & execute inventory annual/quarterly/Monthly inventory plans for all SKUs based on adjusted sales annual/monthly forecasts
- Translate supply plans into inventory replenishment recommendations
- Analyze inventory pipelines and communicate risks that may have a significant impact on inventory replenishment in the future.
- Ensure new acquisition inventory pipelines are set up for success from day one and be able to communicate risks as to the health of the pipeline.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build forecasting models and automate inventory reports
- Build effective communication channels and collaboration processes with the purchasing & global Logistics, brand management, marketing, and finance teams to ensure uninterrupted availability of healthy levels of inventory
- Develop and implement key SOPs within areas of responsibility. Identify and introduce best practices for inventory planning and management within the organization.
- Provide analytical support around inventory coverage, and health for specific items, events, and channels which will help cross-functional teams make more informed decisions
- Assist new product forecast strategy with the NPI team to successfully launch new programs in all regions

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field or 3-5+ years’ work experience, including 2+ years in an inventory planning & management or a related field.
- Experience managing more than 500+ SKUs in a fast-paced environment with high variability, particularly in retail/e-commerce (Amazon, Shopify, eBay, etc.) and consumer goods
- Experience in inventory management modeling, forecasting, reporting, and automation
- Experience in process development and implementation
- Manage transactions daily in different systems, including but not limited to G-suite, WMS, Netsuite, Microsoft Excel, Pivot Table, Amazon Seller Central, etc. Fundamental accounting skills to make financial decisions around inventory adjustments.
- Diligent approach to identifying and eliminating loss and shortage.
- Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills to deliver concise and accessible issue assessments and improvement recommendations.
- Hungry to learn and love seeking out new problems to analyze methodically.
- Self-directed and focused on finding resourceful ways to deliver on projects and tasks consistently.
