Social Media Developer (Technical Role)

Our company offers a variety of SaaS applications. Our core software is mature, but we have an ongoing commitment to improving and expanding our product offerings. We are looking for a creative, strategic, and technically-skilled Social Media Developer to join our growing software development team.

This is a technical role, and our ideal candidate would have significant experience in the technical management of social media platforms, including audience development, engagement, and optimization. Experience with data enrichment techniques will be key for success in this role. Additionally, experience with Python, PHP and JavaScript would be highly valuable for the position.
This role will collaborate closely with several members of our cross-functional Company leadership team, including our Digital Project Manager, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and other key business stakeholders to help shape and execute the company’s social media development and marketing strategies.

- Create and manage audiences for social media marketing purposes, using data enrichment and other bleeding-edge techniques
- Create and manage databases, and successfully extract data and actionable insights from those databases
- Apply critical thinking to track down complex data and engineering issues, evaluate different algorithmic approaches, and analyze data to solve problems
- Work with development project teams to research and identify quality issues
- Analyze data in test and production environments
- Make recommendation for changes, enhancements, or new services
- Participate in product development roadmap and strategic planning as requested
- Assist with reformatting and preparing content (i.e., post images) as needed
- All other job duties as requested

Minimum Qualifications
- 2-4 years experience in a technical role (software development, database engineering, etc.)
- 2+ years experience in the technical management of social media platforms, including audience development, engagement, and optimization
- At least 1 year of experience with data enrichment techniques, preferably for marketing/audience development
- Experience with basic image editing/manipulation tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent
- Comfort reformatting creative assets (e.g., social media ads) as requested
- Comfort using collaboration/project management tools such as Miro, L ---------- , JIRA, Basecamp and/or Slack

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience writing code - specifically Python, PHP and JavaScript
- Experience analyzing, designing, developing, as well as implementing and testing RESTful services and APIs
- Experience with managing structured query databases - MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Experience with social media campaign management and advertising optimization
- Experience with content management and creation
- Experience working with decentralized (100% remote) development teams
- Experience working within a growing small-business and/or startup environment
- Experience working with U.S.-based companies

Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate easily and effectively in English (both written and verbal), including technical jargon
- Must be proactive, reliable, resourceful, and highly self-motivated
- Must be able to understand business needs and perform research as necessary
- Must be comfortable working within a small, fast-paced, 100% remote development environment; prior track record of successfully working with remote development teams is strongly preferred
- Must have flexibility to work some hours in the PST time zone
