As part of this process, we need an exhibition technical designer to detail the build of every stand for the rest of the team to follow.

Job Description

As an exhibition technical designer your main responsibilities will be to make shop drawings in Autodesk Revit using a custom made template and modular frame components. As a technical role, this will be most suited for candidates who enjoy construction detailing and technical drafting.

Responsibilities

Report to Senior production designer or designer manager
Translate designs into 3D production documents using Revit
Creating technical drawings for fabrication
Collecting appropriate background and product information
Communicating clear instructions through diagrams
Liaising with manufacturers, cabinet makers and factory staff
Managing multiple drawings at any given time
Changing production drawings based on variations

The ideal candidate will have the following

Background or experience in architecture, interiors, engineering, industrial design, drafting or similar
Experience creating technical drawings for event structures, signage and joinery will be highly regarded
Some experience with Revit
Experience creating CNC files is an advantage
Proactive and willing to develop skills and systems for drawing.
An understating of the exhibition fabrication and installation process would be an advantage
An understanding of Aluvision or BeMatrix modular exhibition systems would be an advantage
Willing to work in structured process using templates and guides.
Strong command of English

There are opportunities to progress and expand the breath of the role to creating design and process automation. Successful applicants will be given training in using Expocentric’s unique Revit template.
