***ABOUT YOUR NEW EMPLOYER***
Hey there! I run a 7 year old Canadian company selling our own branded line of over 30 products on Amazon with a small team of five wonderful people from the Philippines doing 7 figures in USD annually. Right now, to handle future expansion plans, we are looking for a SUPPLY CHAIN / PRODUCT SOURCING ASSISTANT. Starting salary range for this position is 32000 PHP to 42000 PHP per month depending on your experience, hours worked, and your day to day availability.
***IDEAL SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST SKILL SET***
1. Previously trained and familiar with the Amazon Seller Central Interface, especially shipment creation
2. Strong numerical skills
3. Familiar with FCL, LCL, and air freight shipments to the US/UK/EU from to start to finish
4. Experience in communicating with 3PL warehouses in the US, UK and EU
5. Able to optimize container space and domestic shipment plans to reduce fees
6. Self-motivated and can work without supervision
7. Experience working with Chinese suppliers and factories
8. Can communicate clearly and succinctly in writing
9. Comfortable talking on the phone with warehouses and freight forwarders (on rare occasions)
10. Able to work graveyard and/or overtime from time to time
***WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORK DAY LOOK LIKE?***
You will always have a list of ongoing tasks and projects that you should be working on independently most of the time. As a team, we use a project management service called Basecamp which is almost like a bulletin board of sorts where you will be posting project progress and updates for me and your tea
***WHAT ARE MY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES?***
Essentially, you will be helping me and my current supply chain manager to handle our re-orders at our Chinese factory, manage all order details along the way, and then coordinate with freight forwarders to prepare for shipment overseas to Amazon warehouses from start to finish. You will also be assisting me with sourcing and developing new products with our suppliers eventually. Additionally, I also need you to manage our domestic inventory situation from our 3PL to Amazon to ensure we stay in stock at all times. I also expect you to be "smart" about setting up these shipments by balance/optimizing for container space, pallet usage, warehouse fees, and small parcel delivery to minimize our expenses. I will provide guidance and training but the ideal candidate is one who just "gets it" most of the time on their own and that is why a strong grasp of working with numbers is ideal.
