The Recording Service is looking for someone who can write marketing messaging and webcopy. Good candidates write well in English and have a thoughtful personality. We work in an evolving industry, and we need to explain to our customers what we can offer them in plain terms. To do this, you will need to research our clients online and have calls with our tech team from the US, to learn about what we offer.

This job is part-time but could evolve to full-time depending on the fit and your interest in taking on more. We have outlined the essential responsibilities below, and then below that we listed some possible avenues for expanding the role.


Flexible Hours:
Generally, we are happy for you to work whenever you ---------- the first few weeks, we hope you will be available for calls during US business hours 3 times per week. After you are oriented, that can be reduced if we are communicating well over email.
You can be in touch with our current communications associate, who is leaving to pursue a full-time PhD. She took on some special research and writing projects beyond the essential responsibilities and worked about 10hrs/wk


Who We Are:

We produce corporate videos and produce hybrid events in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Started in 2019, our company has tripled in size since the start of the pandemic and is on track to continue growing.

We work with the state government and major corporations, as well as with large, purpose-driven non-profits.

Although most of our work is produced for audiences in Atlanta, Georgia, some of our projects have reached national and international audiences - including two videos we made with Christian missionaries in the Philippines, one of which was entirely in Tagalog.

That said, all of the writing in this job will be in English and aimed at our client organizations, which are all based in the US, mostly in ---------- sential Responsibilities:
* Create Weekly Content for LinkedIn & Manage the Account
* Write Monthly Marketing Email Newsletter to Customers (MailChimp)
* Write Website Content & Use Wix to Design Webpages
* Co-Produce Marketing Videos with the Owner
* Write and Design Sales Documents (eg, Price Sheets, Case Studies)
* Learn & Track Customer Demographics (Persona Marketing, SalesForce)
* Keep Up to Date on our Projects and our Industry
* Be Available to Revise Written Documents from Others Within the Company
* Keep Notes fro ---------- etings
* Send a Weekly Email Report to Management Summarizing Progress, Challenges, and Time Spent (Hourly Billing)


Possible Job Developments:
* Curate a Monthly Email to Staff
* Direct Mail Marketing
* Local PR (ie, pitch articles about us in local business news)
* Local SEO
* Nominating the Business for Relevant Professional Awards (eg, we won two 2020 Public Relations Society of America awards)
* Creating Unique Brand Identities to Target Individual Customer Demographics


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
#1 - Must be a good writer in English!
#2 - Must have empathy – be able to learn how our customers will react to messaging we send them. We need someone conscientious! Maybe you are artistic, or interested in psychology
#3 - Please have relevant work history, or a college degree (we are open to new grads with strong skills, though most likely looking for someone with 3-5 years experience)
#4 - We would like to see something you have designed! Adobe suite is preferable to Canva.
#5 - Please show some experience making or maintaining websites.
