Business Development Manager

We are looking for a talented business development manager, who can help us build our critical thinking education YouTube channels into other languages. Starting with MrSpherical, and SolarBalls.

This role is unique, and we don’t expect you to have done it before. That’s fine. The most ideal person for this role is someone good at planning, orchestrating people, and enjoys building things.

Criteria that we’re looking for:

Experience shaping agreements and relationships with a diverse set of partners (in this case, it will be making agreements with VO artists and other tea ---------- mbers on rates)
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills as they relate to contractual, technical, and financial matters
Someone with a genuine interest in our critical thinking education mission
Someone who is able to have a vision when it comes to what would make a great team.
Someone with strong eye for identifying creative talent and intuition for team alignment
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion
Strong English skills to communicate well within the team

Job role:

Source voiceover artist and/or channel manager in new language (your internet research skills and networking will be valuable here)
Negotiate rates with each tea ---------- mber
Coordinate with our Finance Manager to project finances
Then, 3 months into launching the channel once it has grown - source an advertising agency, or influencer management company that works in that language’s region. E.g. An Indonesian channel requires an Indonesian influencer management company
Then ongoingly, the role will be to oversee these channels and ensure they remain profitable, and continue to do valuable sponsorships ($1000s per video sometimes)

Compensation:

This will be part-time. This role will be paid well. Starting at $12/hr, and additional % of earnings on ---------- 6 months, you may be working 50 hours per month for $1000+ ($20/hr).
