We’re looking for a full stack, Senior Developer to help us innovate and implement new features for our hybrid iOS and Android nutrition coaching apps.

The ideal candidate is the type of developer who is always looking for more efficient ways to work - like writing automated testing scripts for unit and integration tests or. Someone who is organized, asks great probing questions as they seek to understand, and then offers guidance on how to take the product and features to the next level.

You’ll be working with our product manager, UX Designer, founder, and occasionally our advisors. Work is 100% remote and you can live anywhere in the world, so long as you have a solid computer and internet connection for video chats.

Responsibilities
Develop new features and user interfaces from wireframe models
Ensuring the best performance and user experience of the application
Fixing bugs and performance problems
Writing clean, readable, and testable code
Cooperating with the rest of the product team to deliver well-architected and high-quality solutions
Work closely with colleagues to constantly innovate app functionality and design
Develop and update application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality
Suggest and implement new mobile products, applications and protocols

Skills
Extensive knowledge about mobile app development. This includes the whole process, from the first line of code to publishing in the store(s)
Deep knowledge of mobile app development for iOS and Android.


Proficiency with writing automated tests in (JUnit, Espresso, Mocha, Jest, Enzyme, XCTest, etc.)
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and mobile libraries for networking, specifically (Retrofit, axios, Alamofire, etc.)
Familiarity with the JSON format
Experience with profiling and debugging mobile applications
Strong knowledge of architectural patterns—MVP, MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture—and the ability to choose the best solution for the app
Familiarity with GitHub and AWS
Familiarity with push-notifications
Understanding mobile app design guidelines on each platform and being aware of their differences
Proficiency in React Native and Node.js
Understanding of using mobile app design softwares like Zeplin and Figma
Proficiency in integrating the app with analytic tools such as Facebook, Firebase, Adjust and other UX tools such as UXcam.


Qualification

5+ years of demonstrable mobile app development experience
Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App Store or the Android market
Extensive knowledge of at least one programming language like Swift and Java
Familiarity with OOP design principles
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
Ability to perform in a team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to interpret and follow technical plans
