The Content Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the coordination and production of all digital and print content.
The right candidate will have experience in cross channel content marketing and content optimization including text, audio, video and image content, social media marketing and search marketing.
The Content Marketing Specialist is a creative marketing mind with the ability to organize projects, meet deadlines, and must work with others. The ability to interpret analytics and troubleshoot web related technical issues is also required.
This position requires experience in using digital and print content to support strategic organizational objectives.
We are willing to offer this as a full-time role to capture the right candidate. However, the existing work scope will need significant attention for growth. It is an expectation that whoever is hired for the role must be able to build their responsibilities and work production to match that of a full time workload and output of a great employee.
Initial projects:
1. Manage and grow our new blog (about to launch) demonstrating growth and creating business opportunities through this platform
2. Determine how to build and market online paid content from the company’s current knowledge/services and build our online presense
3. Setup and design effective email campaign
4. Take over the SEO of our website
5. Plan and execute social media campaigns (FB & Insta)
Roles and Responsibilities
o Developing and managing a content marketing strategy that supports organizational goals from the top to the bottom of the marketing and sales funnel including Generating Leads, Increasing Brand and Offer Awareness, Growing Website Traffic, and Acquiring Customers.
o Strategize, create, edit and manage the production of digital and print content that is consistent with the organization’s brand, style and tone.
o Develop and maintain a content calendar that attracts and appeals to the organization’s various customer avatars.
o Develop and execute procedures for our online businesses expansion.
o Creation of standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for the planning, execution, optimization, distribution and amplification of the organization’s content.
o Effective coordination with in house graphic designer and any outsourced expertise.
o Monitor and report on content marketing metrics and show continuous improvement of the content strategy based on analytics.
Education/Experience Requirements
o Bachelors degree (Preferably in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a similar field)
o 5+ years experience in digital content strategy and tactics including content creation, editing, running a blog site, analytics, social media marketing and search engine optimization.
o Must have successfully handled numerous digital campaigns from concept through to launch and ongoing growth. Must have no trouble presenting numerous examples in detail.
Skill Requirements
The Content Marketing Specialist position requires a number of skills including:
o Content Marketing – Demonstrated experience with successful management and execution of a content marketing strategy.
o Independent & Problem Solving Ability – Thrives with taking independence on tasks assigned and able to analyze to provide effective solutions.
o Search Engine Optimization – A demonstrated ability to drive traffic to web properties from search engines. Not using potential damaging SEO shortcuts.
o Social Media Marketing – Proven experience using social media channels to distribute and amplify the organization’s content.
o Editing – Proven editorial skills including strong language skills and the ability to adjust content to remain consistent with brand, style and tone.
o Blogging – Successful management of a business blog that furthers organizational goals. Content will be supplied.
o WordPress – The ability to create content within and troubleshoot issues with the WordPress platform.
o Copywriting – An understanding of how to create and present content that persuades.
o Lead Generation – Demonstrated experience with using digital and/or print content to generate leads and sales.
o Analytics – An excellent command of analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics or Omniture, to adjust marketing strategy and tactics.
o Video Editing – A basic ability to edit video content.
o Email Campaigns – Knowledgeable with setting up email campaigns to capture lead opportunities which includes selling online content.
