Job Description:

Greetings! We’re hiring a “wire editor” type role right now - although I hate that job description.

We’re looking for “the best eye,” for Entertainment News, & Political News, & overall Trending News in the Philippines, that there is.

It will be your job to look into the provided stream of news, identify the hot stories, and put irresistible headlines on them.

- Also to create content using our state-of-the-art publishing technology about trending news stories.


ABOUT YOU:

If you're someone who is "current" and “knows what's going on” in the Philippines, then we'll be more than happy to have you join us.

• You always read up on trending news
• You think storytelling on the web should be beautiful, remarkable and engaging
• Great communicator (Excellent English writing skills)
• Extremely reliable
• Positive, no excuse attitude


ABOUT THE POSITION:

• It will be your job to look into our stream of news & identify the hot stories
• Create “Must-Click” Headlines for links to the hot stories
• Create content about trending news using state-of-the-art platform
• Share content to social media
• Be a storyteller
• Keep up with trending news

This is a very flexible role and you will be required to work at your own pace. Set your own working time, have a flexible schedule.

What we require from you is that you deliver timely breaking news and entertainment.

Responsibilities include:

? Identify topics of concern that can educate and inform readers in a way worth sharing on social media
? Monitoring our “stream of news” (press wire) for new content or important news items our audience will be interested in
? Identifying news or content of interest to, or of concern to our audience; & creating content based on identified content.
? Creating compelling “must-click” headlines for trending news stories.
? Rewriting stories by removing less important paragraphs & including commentary of special interest to the audience of our publication
We will train you to succeed and offer advice where we feel you can improve.

This is a long-term role and we are selectively looking for the right person who can commit. In return, we will offer incentives such as revenue sharing and maybe even prize giveaways – who knows ;).

ABOUT COMPENSATION:

• Will pay daily for 1st week, then on a weekly basis after 1st week
• We pay bonuses for great work
• We pay 13th Month Bonus
• We give pay increases based on performance
• Every month you work, you earn 1 personal day which can be used as sick days or vacation days (12 Days per Year)
• These are the paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Independence Day, All Saints Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve (7 Days)
