Full stack developer

Objective

A MERN full stack developer is responsible for taking wireframes and PSD designs and turning them into functional web apps. This includes being able to bind UI elements to JavaScript object models and creating RESTful services with Node.js. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with both front-end and back-end development. Full stack developers must wear all the hats and function well in the different roles that encompass a development team: designer, front-end developer, back-end developer, UX designer, etc. Each role requires different skills and abilities, and developers must develop those skills quickly.

Duties

-Develop and maintain full stack web applications for and manage backend API integrations
–Master basic HTML and CSS
–Use git for source control
–Manage software development lifecycle from conception and design to implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
-Develop new features and functionality
-Improve existing features
-Maintain existing applications
-Troubleshoot on production issues
-Ability to multitask, respond to changing priorities and deadlines, and work with multiple team members
-Collaborate with team members, vendors, and project managers
-Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
-Ability to work independently and pair program
-Ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
-Ability to learn new technologies quickly
-Ability to write clean, concise, and well organized code

Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
2+ years’ verifiable experience in software development
-Professional experience building web applications using Node.js, Express, MongoDB, AngularJS, and ReactJS
-Experience with Agile processes, including SCRUM and Kanban
