JOB DESCRIPTION
We are a vacation rental management company in San Diego, CA, USA seeking a highly qualified individual for our Reservation Manager position. The primary mission of this role is to oversee all guest reservations for our property portfolio. You will respond with urgency to all incoming guest inquiries, messages, and requests for help. You will also be the first to pick up incoming phone calls from guests who call our business directly. You must excel at simple arithmetic in order to properly calculate nightly rates for creating quotes through our system, as well as refunds or charges, should they need to be processed. At the end of the day you should feel that all reservation activities have been neatly tied up and all guests under your jurisdiction have felt that they received quick and efficient communication.
As a secondary role, and once you feel comfortable with your primary role, we are seeking someone who can help us with various administrative tasks. You may be asked to research vacation rental regulations in new markets, seek out vendors in new markets, post and respond to job listings for property manager in new markets, and more. This requires someone who is comfortable learning new systems, learning on the job, and researching new things using tools given to them.
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 2 years experience with Airbnb or vacation rentals is required
- Must have a bachelors degree or higher
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication in English
- ** The position is 100% remote so you must have a stable, dedicated Internet service provider with 99% uptime. **
JOB DUTIES
- Answer incoming calls from 8a-5p PST
- Must be at a computer and use a virtual soft phone with headset for all working hours
- Respond to guest requests and communicate to managers
- Respond to Airbnb messages (ok to ask managers how to respond if needed)
- Call, message and text guests to resolve issues
- Learn our property management software
- Escalate urgent issues to manager for resolution
- Assist guests with all reservation needs
- Can't work the door lock (access to let in remotely)
- Send report of all call activities in Slack channel
